as some people may know, my computer was infected with a trojan virus last night... I have norton (which is expired), and windows defender (which will identify a virus, but let it right on through.)
I heard that AVG is an amazing anti-virus, and I might give it a try...
what kind of anti-virus do you use?

Avast and ccleaner, both free, i haven't had any problems since using them both. Norton, Mcafee and windows defender are feces.

I have McAfee and it works fine. Their not feces. The reason why you think your free ones are working good is because their not catching the viruses crawling right under your pc's feet. When anti-virus programs aren't good, they don't warn you about any getting into your computer. I suggest McAfee. Catches every single bit of virus on your pc. Count on it.

Lol, that's the reason. Mcafee runs with aroun 110,000 KB or so. Of course it's going to slow down your pc if you have windows 98. I still think it's the best out there. Your pc does fine with McAfee if you have a good windows and more than 200MB of ram.

I used to use norton, but the new norton is so stupid. There is no point of it now. It will slow any computer down. i use ad-aware.(it is really good and for free.) I also use ccleaner and avg. You have to have the latest of avg for it to work though. If you don't it will slow your computer down.
